WeSay Photo Contest!

I have browsed around over at SocialSpark for a while. I don't have enough time to do the paid posts for "a living". If I post something in my blog it needs to be relevant and interesting. Well, I got an email today about an opportunity. Ok~ I go check it out. It was for this site WeSay.

WeSay is an Online New Site. I like their tag line "Your News. Your Photos. Your Voice." They post photos from mainstream media. They also want to publish photos from the amateur photographer. They want to give everyone the opportunity to participate in the news gathering process. "We" the people have lots of eyes and ears and cameras and cellphones to snap away at the news and current events happening around us everyday. Check them out, I did. I liked what I saw.

This is what I got from browsing their sight. WeSay is a place for photographers to get their work seen. It was plugged as "news photos" at first. But what they really want is "current event" photos. I traveled through WeSay and indeed I found some really great and interesting "news" photos. And I found some really great "current event" photos. Besides being a really cool place; WeSay is having a photo contest. The Contest Ends 3-31-09... so get your entries in soon! Who couldn't use a new printer or gift certificates to Ritz Camera? What is your category? So I say " check out WeSay for yourself"! There's an amateur photographer in each of us. Let me know "news" you saw today!

Losing a Friend

Well, it seems like I am losing an old friend. I have been participating in a comment exchange over at Forum Finder for a while now. I have enjoyed reading and commenting on many other blogs. I have learned many things through the exchange. The owner just didn't have enough time to keep it going and has worsening health issues. I hope that one day it will return, until then, my blog friends, take care and be well. Good Luck and Best Wishes to Breezie!

Spring Maintainance

The poor greenhouse has been tried to its limits.
It was coming apart at the seams.
So out came the needle and fishing line.
She good as new and ready to keep protecting tender plants.

Cruising...

I was out cruising my favorite bloggers. My friend John at Potpolitics is all about link love. He asked us to share our top 3 bloggers. This was my response:

Aside from you, my friend, my top 3 favs are:

Lacy from Razor Family Farms
Lacy is an awesome young lady that has her head on straight. She tells it like it is. She has started down a path to adopt 4 adorable children. She “Rocks like Kiss”!

Barb from A Cowboy’s Wife
Barb is a great woman who has seen many trials through out her life as a cowboy’s wife. It is a hard life. One that she gladly embraces with her cowboy. She never fails to lift my spirits.

Robbyn from The Back Forty
Robbyn is a fellow homesteader. She blogs about everything. She shares wonder tips. She lets us know how her life plans are going. She doesn’t let these horrible economic times destroy her wonderful spirit.

These are my top 3. Not listed in any particular order. They are wonderful women. I enjoy being a small part of their extraordinary lives. Please do visit them. They will only make your spirit richer.

Thank you, my friend, for this opportunity to share these fabulous women.

Again, I thank John for reminding me of the wonderful people that I have had the pleasure of meeting across the world of blogging.
