Wintertime....

Well, the chill has finally hit NC for good I think. I mean.. really... who has ever heard of temps in the 80s in December for goodness sake! I am just sitting here enjoying my nice hot cup of coffee. Wondering about my coffee partners around the world. I hope everyone is staying warm and getting ready to enjoy this holiday season! HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Stay safe!

What Do People Actually Look For

I sit here at the keyboard. I ponder.... what do people look for on other peoples blogs. I initially thought it was to gather information. I don't know. I really don't find a whole lot of quality information on the blogs I stumble into. There have been people who visited my blog and actually went to my store and actually purchased something. So maybe I helped someone - who knows - Do you have an opinion? If you read this, leave me a comment. I would love some feedback. I would like to contribute something worthwhile. Thanks for reading.

Social Networking

I have tried the social networking game. It is all about the individual. The only sales I have generated are mostly the "shopping groups" who HAVE to buy something from somebody. The funny thing is that most people use my product daily. I work with a premium supplier. When you try my version of this product, you won't want the standard everyday version. I have several repeat customers. That speaks volumes about my quality product. But I will keep on networking.

I am all about coffee!

WOW! I have been trying to sign up with a site called payperpost. They want bloggers who actually say something. I want to find a way to support my self on the computer. I can write about other peoples products. Give my opinions. Lots of stuff. I just find it hard to write about me. I love coffee. So I started my own company. I am not getting rich yet. But it pays for itself. I enjoy it so that is all that counts. I have tried getting some other products/companies going with it. But so far no go. I tried the survey game. But they want you to fill out all of these "offers". Most of these offers involve MY money in some way so.... Oh well... Payperpost--I am trying!

The Original Coffee Company

Why should you choose a fresh roasted coffee from an online supplier?

Why should you choose coffee that is small batch roasted?

Why should you choose a coffee that is shipped in heat sealed valve bags?

Why should you choose a coffee that is shipped the same day it is roasted?

An online gourmet coffee supplier who roasts in small batches is the only way to guarantee fresh coffee. Coffee is packaged into heat sealed valve bags as soon as it is roasted. The hot beans are put into the bags, as they cool they release gasses. If the valve was not there, then the bag of beans would explode. If you buy coffee without a valve, then the coffee is not fresh. FRESH is the key to a perfect cup of coffee, so it is shipped to you the same day! For more information about coffee:

Coffee Lovers Go Green

Have you ever thought about what to do with all those left over coffee grounds? Instead of dumping them in the garbage and sending them to overcrowded landfills, try using them to enhance your garden. Used coffee grounds are an excellent thing to compost. Easy to add directly to your garden or flower beds. Also, they can be added to an earthworm composting site. The worms really love the coffee grounds. Here at The Original Coffee Company we try to be earth friendly. We recycle when possible. We compost food scraps, coffee grounds, and garden waste. We use organic methods in gardening. We produce as much of our own food as possible. This accomplishes 2 things: we know we are eating safe foods and reduces the pollution by not needing commercial transportation to get to us. Another way to go green is by supporting .Fair Trade Organic Coffee Growers and Roasters. Check out our GREEN Page, too!

Barista Competition

I was watching food network last night. And they had this guy on who was to train for a competition in only 5 days. He ended up getting 3rd place. I don't know how. Just for effort I guess. But it just reinforces the "coffee culture". Hey just check my site out! Fair prices, excellent selection and fresh roasted when you order it!

TOCCO

Coffee is like fine wine.....

The Perfect Cup of Coffee--Where is it?

Where do you start for the perfect cup of coffee?
  • Clean equipment
  • Fresh Water
  • Fresh Roasted Coffee Beans (stored properly, of course!)

How do you store coffee beans?

  • Keep the fresh roasted beans in an opaque, air tight, ceramic container

Why?

  • Air and moisture are the two #1 enemies of coffee. Once the beans have been roasted and off gased, you need to keep them cool and dry.
