Yay eggs congratulations!! Soon they will be on their way to the standard one every 26 hours. I'm sure you'll enjoy your breakfast in the morning! Claire
WAAA HOOO Christina!!! Isn't it just the neatest thing to go out and see they've gifted you?? I feel that way everyday! I know they decrease their laying "output" by 20% each year...so i've been told by a chicken rancher...and this year seemed to be following the rule, then yesterday, in this crazy heat we are having...I got 5 ! Haven't had 5 in a day since April! Hope your trip to FL was wonderful! You came home b4 the storm!
You have some lovely girls there!
ReplyDeleteExpect a few double-yolkers the first month.
Farm-fresh free-range eggs are the best.
I miss my chickens.

Yippee! I just love the very first eggs! They always have such thick shells and are so small. Beautiful and unique aren't they?
